Before installation, prepare tools such as screwdrivers, electric drills, and lifting platforms, and place the vehicle on a lifting platform or pit. The installation location is usually a flat, clean area on the front, rear, left, or right side of the car chassis. It is recommended to install it at the front or rear of the vehicle or on both sides of the bottom of the body. For vehicles with low chassis, avoid installing the lights too close to the ground.

The main installation methods include adhesive and screw connection. For adhesive installation, peel off the protective film on the double-sided adhesive on the light tube mounting base, stick the light tube to the installation position, and press it firmly. For screw connection installation, drill holes in the car chassis plate according to the mounting bracket holes at both ends of the chassis light, and then tighten them with the screws provided with the product. Other fixing methods include using cable ties, welding clips, etc. When drilling holes and distributing cable ties, the spacing should not be too large.

When wiring, the power source can be connected to the cigarette lighter, the spare battery connector, or the ACC power line. The wiring principle is as follows: red wire to positive (connect to the battery positive terminal), black wire to negative (connect to the ground point on the metal part of the vehicle body). The lights are connected in parallel via a dedicated power cord; when connecting, red wire to red wire and black wire to black wire.

For circuit safety, a fuse must be installed. The wiring should be secured along the chassis grooves to avoid wear. After wiring, the interfaces must be sealed with electrical tape. It is recommended to connect the ACC line to achieve automatic power cut-off when the engine is off, or to install an independent switch/relay to prevent battery drain. Wiring selection should consider vehicle lifting, allow sufficient length, and select appropriate wire specifications to withstand the current load. Before installation, local traffic regulations must be confirmed. Chinese traffic regulations strictly prohibit turning on chassis lights while the vehicle is in motion (this may be considered illegal modification); they are only permitted to be used when the vehicle is stationary.
