Automotive headlights are the core component of a vehicle's lighting system, directly impacting driving safety at night or in low-light conditions. As a crucial component at the front of the vehicle, headlights not only provide illumination but also, through optimized design, enhance driver visibility and reduce blind spots.
Automotive headlights achieve their illumination function through the coordinated operation of a light source, reflector, lens, and lamp housing. Traditional headlights mostly use halogen bulbs, which emit light by heating a tungsten filament with an electric current. The light is reflected by a reflector and focused by a lens to form a directional beam. Modern vehicles are increasingly adopting LED light sources, which emit light through the electron transition of semiconductor materials, featuring low energy consumption, long lifespan, and fast response. Some high-end models are also equipped with matrix LED headlights, which achieve dynamic lighting by independently controlling multiple light-emitting units, such as automatically avoiding oncoming vehicles or pedestrians and reducing glare.
